I think that is my Dad's recipe. Actually, I don't think it is, I don't remember him ever using the stove but the ingredients are the same and he adds a lot more booze. It is awesome.

Today is a work day, unfortunately, though I plan to take a couple of hours off in the afternoon to watch some curling. But if I take too much off, I'll need to work tomorrow, which would suck.

Morning fresh squeezed OJ. And the kettle is on for some Scottish Breakfast (Peet's).

1) Drive to Walmart
2) Enter Store
3) Head to dairy section
4) Locate container of Egg Nog that is on sale
5) Take container to casher and purchase item


Very complicated with 5 steps, but works every time I use it.

What a great idea. Although I cannot just walk to Walmart or drive to it. I have to swim across an Ocean first. But that's nothing of course. I could fly there, if he just would give me back my wings. These leathery contraptions are good when it rains, but for flying they are a big flop. And take back that tail that bothers me, I haven't learned where to put it, yet. The horns I don't mind.

Morning Kona Coffee in my cup, while I try to get up the energy to get out the Christmas boxes to do the decorating for a Trim-the-Tree late lunch get-together tomorrow. I swear this year, I will reorganize and get rid of all the extra decorations that I do not put up any more. Oh, and label my bins, so it is easier to find which ones I want and need.

Good morning, everyone! It's a pleasant valley Sunday, with a mug of Yorkshire tea, seeded rye bread still warm from the oven, slathered with butter. OK, lots of calories, but I break the bread in half before I eat it so the calories fall out.

Makes 1 quart. Serves 4-6.

4-6 servings would amount to less than half a teaspoon of hooch in each... and as those beverages are only about 15-20% alcohol anyway, makes it about an 1/8 of a teaspoon of alcohol in each serving, but lots of flavor. Kids get more alcohol in over-the-counter cold medicines! Give 'em tradition! Besides, if my calculations are wrong, it will just put them to sleep a bit earlier one night out of 365. It's not as if we are turning them into barflies!

How many of us are 'making' Christmas gifts rather than buying them this year? Are the 99%'ers actually going to impact Big Business or just demonstrate with signs.

That word derived from Chinese... has something to do with "a tiny wine cup", I think.

EDIT: actually it was English. The word is "noggin".
