Synching: Kindle Fire

I have the older Kindle, and now have the Kindle Fire. I read from both. I seem to be able to synch so that the same page of a book shows up in each kindle, but can't synch the highlights (K Fire) to the underlines (K ordinaire), and vice versa (in neither direction). And I can't synch bookmarks. What's the secret if there is one?

Also to synch, I can hit "synch" in the Kindle fire. Do I need to activate anything (except WiFi) in the older Kindle to synch?

It will only synch the furthest page. You need to go on your Fire to Settings/Help/Feedback and send Amazon a message telling them to add the Personal Documents Cloud feature to the Kindle Fire.

Amazon is good at listening to feedback. If enough people use this feature on the Fire and ask for PDoc Cloud then we will get it sooner or later.
