NEW YORK (AP) -- At age 91, Ray Bradbury is making peace with the future he helped predict.

The science fiction/fantasy author and longtime enemy of the e-book has finally allowed his dystopian classic "Fahrenheit 451" to be published in digital format. Simon & Schuster released the electronic edition Tuesday.

Interesting. I wonder how much it will cost for an ebook copy when it is available for the Kindle.

It's one of my favorite books; but if it's more than $4.99, I ain't buying it.

Most of his books are already available as ebooks thanks to a dedicated bunch of fans. It will be interesting to see if Simon & Schuster formatting is up to the same standards.

Whoooooooops! I already sent my copy to 1DollarScan, cut and scanned into a PDF for a couple of bucks, and converted to epub via FineReader and Sigil.

That's what my "big distraction" Internet did for me, Mr. Bradbury.

Cost me a lot less than $10, too.

Also, it was clever of Amazon to import over the 1,420 reviews from the paperback copy. No Kindle bombs based on price or bad formatting. Kind of sneaky, I think, but what-can-you-do.

^It's even funnier considering the first two 1-star reviews I read were because the audio book was painful to listen to.
