Hi there,

When you add the event, you need to select an icon. There is a square on the right side of the event popup. Click the little + and - underneath this square to cycle through the icons.

Sincerely,
Ben.

Hi there,

1. You should be able to select the calendar as one of the STANDBY options. If it is not listed, then there is a bug in the Standby addon. (What model are you using, by the way?)

2. Adding more icons is certainly possible. However, it means adding them to two different files now, and I don't want to do it too often! Does anyone else have any icon requests?!?

By the way, I was wondering about the notes to text addon. At the moment, if you add a number of notes to different bookmarks in the same book, each note ends up in its own file. Would you rather that all notes added to bookmarks in the same book end up in one file, with a page number assigned to each note? I think it should be possible to do this if you thought it would be better.

Sincerely,
Ben.

I think it would be more practical an only text file for each book. The other option can be more confusing.

points and thought

Hi Ben,

to point 1: SOLVED - Seemed I was blind. I found the property and it works well. Thanks! No bug!! And: I have a Sony Reader 650 and compile from time to time manually your alpha code.

To point 2: I did not want to bother you with the icons. Really! If you ever plan in distant future to add some icons...

'Would you rather that all notes added to bookmarks in the same book end up in one file, with a page number assigned to each note?' Yeeessss! That sounds really good to me! If I understand 'Terisa de morgan' correctly, she too prefers that option.

kind regards from a sunny day in Germany

Yes, you understand well. I don't explain well myself in my own language, imagine in a foreign language

Hi steman,

I have made the changes to SaveNotepadData and pushed the changes to the repository. Now, all bookmark comments from one book will end up in a single TXT file. However...

1. If you have two books with the same filename (for example, in different folders or with different extensions) then their bookmarks will end up in the same file.

2. If you edit a bookmark comment, the SaveNotepadData addon treats the edit as a subsequent addition. In other words, you will end up with two comments in the TXT file: the unedited one and the edited one.

3. All new bookmark comments are added to the end of the file, regardless of the page number of the bookmark. However, each comment is preceded by the page number, so you should be able to at least work out the general order if you wanted to. (Note that the page number is extracted from the internal bookmark information and doesn't exactly match the page number displayed on the reader.)

Hope this works for you!

Sincerely,
Ben.

Did the icon not appear? Or were you expecting some text as well? The event text only appears in the event text box at the bottom of the calendar screen when the event's day is selected.

Sincerely,
Ben.

I have the calendar in slot 6 and assumed that the selected event icon would appear in place of the normal calendar icon on the day of the event. I did have the 600 off overnight as sleep-mode has been causing me problems, but I had that before I installed PRS+.

Thanks, Nick

Now, when the reader prs 505 is shutdown from menu o keybindings, the process of shutdown is made immediately (before it takes 30 seconds at leats), and then the orange light blink some times. Is it normal this behaviour? the version installed was made from the default repository.

thanks

Victor,

shutdown process takes it's time (orange LED) but with the unpatched fw the screen was cleard near the end of the process.
With the new option to show a image also after shutdown, the screen will be cleared at the begin of the process, suppressing the greyedout-warning-screen with the exclamation mark (!)

Hi Nick,

I understand now. No, the event icon will only be seen in the calendar app and on the standby/shutdown calendar screen. I am pretty sure it would be impossible to replace the main Calendar icon with an event icon on the Home page of the reader without doing a full shutdown/restart!

Sincerely,
Ben.
