TBH, until we moved two years ago I didn't know that movers were offering packing too. Moreover, big companies were uninterested in us when they realised that we do our packing. However, loading, moving and unloading I would not be able to do myself even if I wanted to. The key is to find good movers. Quote:
Once again, you make a distinction between smoky and peaty. When I am in duty free in December, if they have Bowmore 18, I am going to get it, so I can compare & contrast it with Talisker 18. |

![]() Ergo: our kitchen (with all glasses ![]() It does not look as if almost everything is in the new house because all closets here in the rental house are empty now but the "stuff" lying around still is (lying around), but that is the superficial stuff. Every wardrobe, every closet, every kitchen drawer, every shelve is empty. Control freak in me is happy. ![]() Last edited by aceflor; 11-27-2011 at 12:54 PM. |

![]() Serve with a good, crisp, not oaky white wine (NZ Sauvignon Blanc, a good Chablis, or a Pinot Gris). But definitely not a flabby, over-oaked, chardonay. Meanwhile, Peet's Holiday Blend coffee in my cup. |

![]() I'd have bought a Talisker 18, but it isn't available here. And I must say, I was quite pleased with the Talisker 10, at a much more reasonable price. (Well, OK, as if any bottle of good single malt is "reasonably priced", but within that caveat.) |

I have not opened/tried Talisker 18 yet. I will do it when my cold is over, maybe on 6th December, so I can appreciate the good stuff. At the moment a cup of UVA Shawlands Estate (The East India Company -- Ceylon) I had the first cup a week ago. To be honest, I am not overly impressed. It is an interesting tea and interesting flavour but I cannot say I love it. I think I prefer Afternoon Tea (Fortnum and Mason). In the UVA Shawlands Estate tea I can taste some flavour similar to Afternoon Tea, but overall Afternoon Tea's flavour is more versatile? encompass a wider range of sub flavours? It is like UVA Shawlands Estate is this flavour only and Afternoon Tea has this flavour and a few others making it more interesting. I am not sure I make sense but don't know how to explain it ![]() |

I'm drinking a poor man's mocha: instant hot chocolate + one tsp. of instant coffee.

Peet's Organic Darjeeling (a second growth blend) this afternoon, but then a glass of the Bowmore 18 this evening, thinking of astra.
