Thx!
Installed the new version (1.7.10), restarted calibre, connected my Kindle and went to 'Edit Kindle collections manually' and no more '@fr-FR' added to my collections names in the window. I edited some of them, added some books and did a restart of my Kindle and no problem. Thank you again! |

I just wanted to ask how to create simple collections like from genre column. I'd like to have "Fantasy", "Detective", "Western" collections. Using the plug in now I got something like "Fantasy, Detective", "Fantasy,Detective,Western", "Detective,Western", "Detective". So basically all collections have only 1 books, only very few have a few books in it.
What am I doing wrong? I just used the tutorial in first post and chose from which columns to create. I didn't make any other adjustments. I actually see I asked this before, but I didn't receive an answer. Is it impossible to have 3 collections if a book has 3 values in one column? My books have multiple values in most columns so will it make useless collections ![]() Like collections: Genre1,genre2,genre4 genre1,genre3,genre4,genre5,genre7 Instead of genre1 genre2 genre3... I'd also like to know if it's possible to add a word before collection sing prefix. I mean to add word Genre before all collections from genre column. Or add Length before all collections from length column. So it would be possible to see and sort collections. Last edited by Noughty; 11-23-2011 at 02:05 PM. |

The other way is to make sure the genre column is a comma separated list of entries instead of a text field. As for adding a word in front of the collection name, just type the word into the Prefix column in the Customization screen for whichever row you want to have a prefix shown. |

Thanks, the problem was that the column was generated from other columns. Will try it out.
Now to just figure out a way to delete all collections (261 ![]() One by one it might take a long time. It would be nice if kindle had a function to delete all/multiple collections. Last edited by Noughty; 11-23-2011 at 02:45 PM. |

I installed the plugin before I found out it does not work for Kindle Touch and went through the whole create collections and restart. Now I know it does not work.
![]() Interestingly when connected to my Mac the books all show up neatly arranged under the documents folder in their own folder names by author then a folder for the book itself. I can also see the collections.json in the system folder. But the Kindle will only show me a flat list. Thanks Amazon! ![]() Meme - I don't believe you do this for money, but if you get this working for the Kindle Touch that's worth $24.99 in software to me so I am not scrolling through 50 pages of books, and I would be happy to make that donation. Good luck! |

I doubt it's possible but doesn't hurt to ask.
Can you make a rule not to create a collection if only one book will be in that collection? I made collections from authors column and it's pointless to have at least half of the authors since they have only one book in it. Only makes the browsing of collection more difficult. I so wish that Kindle would allow collections in collections. If collections were grouped it would be so neater and more organized. At least I could add word Author for author collections, Genre for genre collections to have some kind of order. |

@Noughty - isn't that what the "Minimum" column is for on the configuration screen?

This is an AWESOME plug-in- thanks so much!
Quick question- What is the purpose of the checkbox 'Allow using user font'? EDIT- looking at the screenshots, it appears you just need to check the box if you want to modify a parameter. Last edited by madmaxmedia; 12-01-2011 at 04:48 PM. |
