Its right its showing 144.99 , but when you add it in to the basket. Its becoming 114.99, but with status no longer available, if you proceed to checkout the status is changing to: "Sony PRS-T1 / eBook Reader / Red (Electronics)

I wonder if Play.com know what they're doing. I looked at the site this morning, price was £114.99 stock due 28 Nov. After lunch it was shown as available for £30 more. But when someone tries to order its out of stock again?
Maybe its just a web site up-date issue; but I'd rather wait than order with no expected stock date being quoted. Besides, according to the guy in my local Currys they'll have some in next week. I really do want to have a try before I buy

EDIT:
Just tried to order one. It gets added to the shopping basket, but when I try to checkout I get an error message

try placing a phone order, & ask whether they only debit your card when they ship. if so , you can cancel when you see a better offer or get tired of waiting.

129.99 at Curys, free delivery and its shows in stock in my local shop, but 15 gbr is the price for Navitech cover and a light for it.
So will wait a day or two to see whats going on with Play.

i can cancel the order any time before the shipment. price 114.99
even showing 144.99 at the main page and not having price and option on the product page for buying . will wait 2 weeks if not ,canceling it and buying from Currys

If buying by mail order that's what I'd do. But I want to try before I buy. And in the event of needing to exchange a faulty unit, its easier (for me at any rate) to take a 15 min bus ride to Currys than post it back to Sony.

Looks like Play.com have really lost the plot now. The black reader is now shown as being a whopping great £164.80, the white still at £149.19. Attempting to purchase either (not that anyone with a brain would want to at these prices) returns a site error.

It was same 2 days ago when i ordered, and my order still not canceled from them in my account and its "awaiting stock"

I have been trying to track down a working Sony T1 on display to try in Norfolk. The thought was if I bought one locally from a shop I could take it back if the firmware problems proved too much.

I went to a large local Comet and not only did they not have a T1 on display, they didn't have any T1's and in fact they didn't have any ebook readers. They just wanted to sell me a tablet.

I've looked in a few PC Worlds and Currys and have found only Kindles.

So after trying a couple of Kobo Touches in different WH Smiths in recent weeks, I have ordered one online knowing I can take it into a shop and talk to a person if there is a problem.

You can buy sony online from Sony.co.uk , or Currys
I will wait 1 week more and will cancel from Play. Even my local sony shop have them, also the local Currys but they are keeping only 1 of each color in stock. Kobo have 10% discount for Touch i think right now in WHsmith, but i still prefer the sony, i holded the Kobo Vox and played with it in the shop, but i did'nt liked it, crashed on me when starting, and switched itself to recovery mode, later took minutes to open 1 book, and the price was 169 Gbr, i told them to keep it for themselfs.
