For clarification, is the READER/ directory I see on the Sony 650 from Windows Explorer the "root of the device"? Thanks Paul

Using "unzip update file" you won't get updated fonts and deeper system changes. (those happen rarely though) It's more of a developer / Linux / MacOS thing, windows users shouldn't need it.

Now, I have the PRS+ on my PRS-950, but he crashed again and again. Who can tell me, what things should be active and which not. Games: Instabil? Sudoku don't work, other games don't work .... Calender: Chrash when I click for the next month ..... Last edited by Kijac; 11-22-2011 at 10:37 AM. |

There is the main-reason for PRS+ BrowseFolder, so you can organize your books in a hierarchic folder structure. You may check ViewerSettings and Book-Management to customize the readers behaviour. (customize basic touch-gestures, manage which books will be shown in row two of the homescreen, ...) Use Keybindings to bind shutcuts to some buttons (most likely the hold-Volume+ and -, but not limited to that) You can choose to have the cover (actually the first page) of the current book as standby-image. If your are reading PDF in landscape, then setting ViewerSettings "Don't Mask Overlap" to disabled will grey-out the overlaping text on the page. And many more to explore. And please feel free to ask. Here or in the sticky main-thread in the Dev-Corner Regards Mark

Okay, why the books aren't sorted on the SD Card with file structure like in the files like on the computer?

I should have worded that differently. I haven't experienced any bugs at all, no problems whatsoever, no matter what application I used on the reader. It's been flawless for me.

Regarding games and apps guys, 950 in particular, but other than that other readers too (if you try it harder) aren't stable in 2.0.x. I didn't remove all of them (that would be one of the solutions) for 2.0.x release since there are people who still use them (even on 950). Games&apps fix requires a lot of work, basically major rewrite (also affecting look & feel) it was decided to release 2.0.x without fixing them, focus on long wanted feature first: dictionary and revise games/apps later.
