Nook Tablet And Gapless Music Playback

I am looking at buying a Nook Tablet and I am wondering if the built in music player supports gapless playback. I was considering the Kindle Fire but I have read that it doesn't support it.

And in you don't know what gapless playback is, where is the Wikipedia article: Gapless Playback |

Not well. I just checked it with Pink Floyd's DSotM. There's a noticeable hiccup (maybe a quarter of a second), between tracks one and two. I haven't tried any other player apps on it, mostly because I'm not really interested in using it as a music player, but if I have some extra time I'll check.

I imagine you might be able to easily download a better player either from the b&n store or the android market that would support this.

Most default players are generic and simple, so I imagine Amazon and B&N didn't put much energy on the mp3 players. |

The default Android music player (available in the Amazon App Store as Android Music) is better, but still not flawless. The stutter is noticeable, but there wasn't any actual gap. It sounded like it just didn't match the frames up properly.
