As for tablets, I tried iPad and Asus Transformer - again, iPad has higher sensitivity. (Er, I don't have any relation with Apple Inc., please don't moderate this post) Is there a kind of screen protector film for Fire? You know, the anti-glare kind, not the shiny one, I hate leaving my dirty fingerprints all over the screen. |

Right this moment: learning how to make/upload custom ringtones on my shiny new iPhone.
![]() There are anti-glare films for the Fire listed at Amazon - so they will most likely be available where ever you may find a Fire for sale. |

'tis a 4S in black - and we were incredibly lucky to find the two we got. Happened to ask kind of off-handed at the mall store we were browsing at...and they had 2 in stock.

I thinking of starting to save up money for a tablet. After looking at both the specification and playing around with tablet in a store I think I might go for the Asus Transformer. The only problem is I can't think of a good reason to buy one.
Sure, it's very handy when going on vacation and when house sitting (especially during the weekends) because it's a good replacement for my notebook. For the other 10+ months of the year it's just a fun toy which isn't a good enough reason to spend €500. It also won't be replacing my Kindle because I expect I prefer to read on eInk and my Kindle weighs less. |

IMHO the Fire's touch screen is as responsive as the iPad's screen -- there is presently a problem with a "Back Arrow" that needs 2 taps - but Amazon can fix that. The screen is Gorilla Glass - doesn't need a screen protector - but does pick up fingerprints, etc. So I'm getting an anti-glare screen protector - you do get reflected glare when watching movies. But not when reading. I fear that any 3G or 4G model would either be TOTALLY restricted to connecting with Amazon (if included in the purchase price) or we would have to sign up for a "data plan" like with phones. Bandwidth (for streaming, web surfing, etc.) is pricey. |

(Perhaps you use some water, like applying the sticker on glass? )My sister bought the iPad from a third party store and had them apply the anti-glare protector for $15. A bit expensive, but my sister says she can never apply it herself without leaving dozens of bubbles. Now no need for microfiber cloth and the screen is still very responsive. |
