I have an affliction.

I have an affliction. Although I have a beloved PRS-650 that has treated me with kindness MOST of the time, I covet the PRS-T1. I've read the troubling posts about freezing and page flipping but that has not deterred my lust. Fantasies of how I would dress my new beauty have invaded my consciousness for days. My willpower lost, I've just ordered the white one. Intervention is too late.

I'm sure you will love it as I do my red one. With what are you going to dress your precious white T1?

An artist on Etsy.com makes covers with beautiful papers and artwork that are made like a hardcover book. She also makes custom covers if you send her a digital photograph or artwork although I am partial to a few of her pre-existing pieces.

I think it will be one of these two...(although I may modify how my precious is attached)

Both of those like really good. Is there a place inside those covers for the stylus? How is your precious secured to the cover?

I couldn't resist the T1 either, so I got a black one from Best Buy a few weeks ago. While I don't doubt the stories of people who have frequently run into issues with theirs, I've had absolutely no trouble with mine so far *knocks on wood*

Etsy artist is recommending Oberon Designs velcro method for attachment but I think I will secure in a different fashion which is really the beauty of a custom cover.

I've never had a need to use the stylus on my present reader so the updated stylus change doesn't really affect me.

Have a great day Jersysman!

The last thing I needed was another reader, but when they dropped the price of the T1, I ordered a white one. It's great!

I LOVE the back button and how easy it is to change the font. And it's so light! I have small hands and larger readers get heavy to hold one-handed.

I also broke down and bought a case after seeing a white one which really has a pearly finish, not really white.

I haven't experienced any problems with mine. It's been a pleasure reading with it since I got it!

You'll love yours too!

Well the stylus ain't very heavy - but you could go up-market and stick a bit of velcro on the cover/case and ditto on the stylus....

Less trouble to use clone ones and lose 'em.....

PLUS.... you can flick paper pellets at people if you use the 'laggie band approach......

Readergirl218, could you provide a link to the etsy shop? I've been looking but there are hundreds/thousands of ereader covers and I haven't hit on the right one yet! Those covers are really lovely and unusual!

She has a beautiful selection of Alphonse Mucha Art Nouveau images (not on her site but available). Also some lovely Japanese art images.

You had to go and mention that artist. You're making me sad I passed on the chance to visit the Czech Republic last September for readings with a group of writer friends!

Lovely choices, BTW.
