There are already complaints about screen quality for KT on Amazon. So I want to hear about it since I really was dissappointed with KNT screen. |

The screen seemed about the same to me as the month-old Kindle Keyboard/K3 I swapped out for the Touch; if anything, the Touch had a slight edge. Still bummed about no hardware page turn buttons, though I'm adjusting. The Touch fits surprisingly well and snuggly into the M-Edge GO! Jacket I had for the Kindle Keyboard, so I can keep the same case, which was an unexpected bonus. |

I don't see any problem with the KT screen, but I've only looked at it at Best Buy. Based on a side by side comparison of the display units, the new Sony T1 strikes me as having the better screen, having better contrast. But part of that might be that the Sony is dark blue as compared to the KT's light gray. That probably impacts the perceived contrast on the screen.

Strange about the lack of landscape mode on the touch, maybe it's due to the way you where to touch the screen to turn pages. If you rotate the device the screen touch area is suddenly different, I know Amazon did that strange thing where the "previous" page turn is a small corner on the left hand side of the screen. This product just seems rushed in order to get a touch version out there. Glad I went with the non-touch version. |

I'll have to check this out. My screen seems fine. I compared it to my K3 & my Sony 350 & it looks fine. I suppose some defective ones could have gotten by...Or I just don't notice the difference.

Congratulations to everyone on their new Kindle! So, this is the one question that I can finally ask: Is it possible to highlight across pages on the Kindle Touch? |

I think that Len Edgerly said on his podcast that you cannot highlight across pages. I tried and I can't get it to work either, so I am thinking that it does not work, sorry.

Just tried HLing across pages and she's a no work boss. Creating another consecutive HL on the next page results in two HL entries. I've been griping about this since K1, and for some reason I expected Touch to address it. Oh well, warts and all eh? Oh, and the screen LOOKS AWSOME! My feeling is that the Touch was a bit rushed. There are weird little glitches and oversights. The dictionary bug not the least of which. That said, the interface is far faster to use and more intuitive than the k3. In fact, because of the absence of buttons I feel that it is a more absorbing reading experience.
