Free book (Kindle ca/iBooks ca/Kobo ca/Sony ca) - Tiger Eye [Paranormal Romance]

Tiger Eye, 1st in the Dirk & Steele paranormal romance series by Marjorie M. Liu, is free courtesy of publisher HarperCollins. Currently free @ B&N and Sony (not free for Canadians), very likely to also drop at Amazon since there's probably another book in the series coming out to cross-promote. Description Long ago they roamed the earth — dragons, tigers . . . shapeshifters — men who wore the forms of beasts. Their world was magic. Now it is gone. But some remain . . . He looks out of place in Dela Reese’s Beijing hotel room— exotic and poignant, some mythic, tragic hero of an epic tale. With his feline yellow eyes, he’s like nothing from her world. Yet Dela has danced through the echo of his soul and knows this warrior will obey her every command. Hari has been used and abused for millennia. But he sees, upon his release from the riddle box, that this new mistress is different. There is a hidden power in Dela’s eyes—and with her, he may regain all that was lost to him. Where once he savaged, now he must protect; where before he knew only hatred, now he must embrace love. Dela is the key. For Dela, he will risk all. |

I've read this one when it came out years ago. Very good start of a series!

Now also free from Amazon (unless you're Canadian). However, a couple of the last batch of HarperCollins freebie novels which were at first non-free for us at first later dropped, so if you happen to be outside the US and want this, it's probably worth checking back in a few more days, just in case. |

Sorry won't be reading this one. After reading the sample, all I could think was, "Dela Reese? Name is just too close to the older actress from Touched by An Angel, Della Reese!" Either both the author and their agent are VERY young and don't remember her, or the author was just too lazy to come up with a more original character name. |

And now also free @ Sony for Canadians, lurking under a different URL since HarperCollins has decided to split its catalogue according to region, it seems. This brings us to freebie parity to everywhere it was originally offered in the US, although it's really weird that we'd get it about a month after, since there's usually not that much delay. Mind you, this is an observation, not a complaint, as sometimes we just don't get stuff at all. |
