I have to admit, Thailand does it right. When Royalty is on the road, the police make all traffic stop and move to the side of the road while the motorcade passes down the middle. You are only stopped for less than a minute, then travel resumes as normal. VERY efficient!

I bought a Hershey Bar with Almonds today. Perhaps the first I've had in 10 years or so. I was upset to discover that they don't use whole almonds any more, only almond pieces. The chocolate was good, but little annoying bits of nut just don't cut it. I want ALMONDS.

Same old song, I know, but...

I spent HOURS last night trying to fix my iTunes store after installing the newest update. It froze every time I tried to open. Reinstalled, it froze. Reinstalled, restarted the computer. It froze. I finally searched the Apple boards and found lots of people with the same problem, and although Apple said to go through a complicated process of searching out all itunes and apple files and deleting them then starting fresh, one lone person found a much simpler solution and posted, involving going to the command prompt and resetting something-or-other, which is what I did. And it worked. But I wasted the whole evening doing it. I'm in the process of uploading all my itunes music to my Amazon cloud, just in case I succumb to the urge to buy a Kindle Fire.

Most of my itunes music is already "itunes plus" which is drm free. Some of the stuff I bought before 2010 is not, but I'll deal with that later. Anyway, itunes rant over.

One of the happiest days of my life was when I sold my iPad1 and UNINSTALLED iTunes! And bought a Sansa Clip mp3 player. And now a Fire. It's so easy to manage music now!

With all the Third-Party software available for managing iPods, I don't know why anyone bothers with iTunes except for connecting to the store. It's as bad as the Sony Reader Library!

I'm coughing my fool head off because somebody brought something into the house. My ex-DIL has had it for over a month, my wife for over 2 weeks, and me for a week. But mine's gone to my chest, and I've had a small fever, so I made an appointment to see the doctor. Makes it hard to concentrate while reading, too. I find myself re-reading entire pages. Crap Crap Crap! End rant.

Sorry -- I may have passed it on. I had it 2 weeks ago, and the tailing end (stuff in chest, cough that sounds like I have TB) is still hanging on. Hope your computers are virus protected!
