Hey Scion, I was reading the Fires User Guide while waiting for my Fire to be delivered and found that there is a text view for the magazines, the user guide states to simply tap the text view button on the top of the screen.

I guess the reviewer didn't read the user guide before he reviewed the Fire and just over looked the button. It does state the text button is only available for articles and not advertisements.

You can also adjust the font, style, typeface and color mode by tapping the middle of the screen to bring up the Options bar, then tap the Text icon Aa.

Seems like the reviewer missed a lot.

OK, well that's the experience I'm looking for. The Barnes and Noble setup is the same way, and I like it. I don't need a big screen for magazines with pop-up article viewer. This should meet my expectations. Though there was mention of some magazines not being optimized in this fashion yet, but that's understandable. It's very early.

I'm in the Chicago area too and usually it leaves Hodgkins and then goes to the closest UPS facility for delivery the next day. Sounds like you'll have yours tomorrow.

I opted for free shipping so mine's coming USPS. Delivery estimate the 18th.
