Finally I can read more about the kindle touch. Unfortunately, I can't see anything about orientation. Maybe I have missed it. I hope it is capable of changing orientation.

Holy crap I work at UPS and man the touch and the kindle fire are being shipped today but lots of people ordered the fire I'm looking to hear from user reviews for the fire.. I "may" get one but not sure yet.

I have mine! Now if I can just figure out how to go to the next page in my archived items so I can download stuff to it.... Every place I tap the screen, it makes me download a book I didn't want to download. (I'm sure it's something really easy that I'm missing in my excitement.)

And my effective delivery date might as well be the 16th.

Yes, I've already taken care of it and gotten a $10 credit for it. It's going back and a new one is being shipped out for delivery tomorrow.

That doesn't make me any happier on top of having to fill someone in, literally at the same time, on a situation that has them upset before I said a word. And on top of THAT, my head is starting to hurt.

Are we sure it's not Monday?

At least the guy I talked to was a geek and talked about Hitchhiker's Guide while processing the shipment.

For some reason, the new one isn't showing on Manage My Kindle yet even though the order shows up in my orders page (though it says No Image Available; weird; the original order had a photo of the Kindle). I seem to recall that the only other time I've had to exchange a Kindle, it showed up in Manage immediately. So I can't start pre-loading my collection on the replacement. Argh.

Mine's charging. I need to decide what to put on it first. I really wasn't expecting it until next week so I feel kind of unprepared.

Hope the new one works okay! It happens sometimes. My first K4 was defective not like that but had a grey mist all over the screen that made it look like a Vizplex instead of Pearl screen.

Yes - Swipe up and down to scroll through the list of books. I keep trying to tap for the next page too. It's going to take some re-training of my fingers.
