You can spend your "wait time" to good effect by downloading lots of stuff from the BOOKS link on this site!!! Choose the "mobipocket" format. Put them on your hard disk, till the Kindle arrives. Move them to an SD card or straight to the Kindle. It helps ease the waiting!!

Oh, and read lots of threads here about the Kindle. That way you'll know a great deal about how to use it, before it even arrives.

Verrrry pleased Kindle owner!

I would recommend any Kindle user to add our Feedbooks Download Guide on their device: http://www.feedbooks.com/help/kindle

Once you have this file, it's very easy to access thousands of public domain books for free, downloaded directly to your Kindle.

I agree. Not only does the Feedbooks Guide make it easy to download directly to the Kindle, but the publication of the "lists" in one place makes them much easier to find. I couldn't find a way to display all the lists on the web site, so I would grab each one as it was randomly presented to me. With the download guide, they're on the Kindle for easy reference.
