Touch Bookmark'd titles

Hello,

It might been addressed already but just wondering. Since a few weeks, my Kobo doesn't remember what is my last book, neither where I was in that book. Moreover, I cannot add books to favorites anymore, neither delete them. It looks like I can't modify my database at all, like the memory is locked or something.

Any ideas?

No I guess I explain wrongfully my problem.

Kobo doesn't remember on which book I was. I have to get take it back in my book list. Moreover, when I open the book, it remember a page I was a few weeks ago.

I think the memory is locked because I can't add nor delete books in my short list either.

The shortlist issue makes me think a factory reset might be your best bet to try at this point, but before you do, make sure your date and time is set correctly on the Kobo. That can mess with your bookmarks if it's not right.

If I do a factory reset, will I loose all my books?

I think I got an idea, I changed the language of the Kobo. I don't see why it mess up the rest of the Kobo though,,,

You would need to reload them again, so if they're from Kobo you just need to sync (assuming you're in the lucky group that isn't currently having syncing issues) or else you'd need to sideload them again.
Probably worth checking the language thing. Weird things can happen sometimes.

Gonna try to switch back to english first. Side-loading 300+books is way too long

Though I should only load 10-20 books I guess. I don't see the point to have all this memory if we can't use it.. oh well :P

I can confirm that reloading basic setup fixes the issue. Still, it's not fun to re-sideload my stuff each time...

I have found through pushing the limit on the memory of my KT via accumulating 700+ kepubs up at kobo.com that you DO NOT want to use anywhere close to all the onboard memory.. It appears that for every ebook you have onboard the KT or on the SD card, 4 image files are created under kobo/.images (probably thumbnails and such).. I have over 1700 books loaded between my KT and inserted SD card and my memory usage is about 1200+ of 1400 MB onboard the KT. It's VERY slow when selecting or deselecting books for shortlist or changing pages in shortlist/book browsing. The search is also sluggish since it has to deal with so many titles. Despite all that, when reading the ebooks it is reasonably responsive..

Also noticed that not all my kepubs have been downloaded to my KT during sync. (probably because they would not fit w/o causing some really major usage problems).. I'm just reading kepubs now and deleting them after syncing for the Reading Stats. Eventually I think my I'm Reading page at kobo.com will be much more manageable.
