Any way to have books fill the screen in Aldiko like adobe reader?
I love the way aldiko organizes my books, but unlike the adobe reader, which with automatically have the book perfectly fill the screen regardless of orientation, Aldiko doesn't seem to do this? Is there a setting I'm missing?
Thanks Cypher |

If you tap "settings" and then "more" (just below orientation), you have a lot of adjustments you can make such as font size, margins, text alignment, spacing, show page number etc. I think what you are looking for is the margin adjustment. You can eliminate them altogether by choosing "0", I personally prefer "10".

version 2.0.1
Put Aldiko into the Library view (I have mine on the bookshelf view) - open a book - tap your Home button on the Vox - tap Settings - tap More - margins is second choice down in the menu You can also change your tap mode from Left and Right sides of screen to Top and Bottom of the screen, show page numbers, change the line spacing, font, page animation, and use the volume key to turn pages. |

once your book is open tap the middle button on the Vox itself (the one that looks like 4 horizontal lines)
After tapping Settings (3rd from left), you will see a popup for text, brightness, orientation and "More". Tap the More...that's when you will see all the choices for your book formatting. Last edited by Cdesja5; 11-10-2011 at 10:54 PM. |

I see the popup for brightness and orientation, but nothing for more. There is a "more button next to settings but that only gives me an option to share. Some pics might, take a look

Um, I think we are talking about PDF here, right? That's the only format Adobe Reader understands.
Aldiko has different settings for PDF than for ePub, and they don't include much in the way of options (in particular the 'Automatic' mode of AR). I would suggest trying Mantano Reader, if it is available to you (if it is not in Kobo App store Google or Amazon both have it). It has annotation features and great PDF viewing options (including automatic whitespace cropping, and PDF reflow, should you need that). The ePub viewer is great also, and they are constantly adding new features. I think theres a free 30 day trial version now. Last edited by tomsem; 11-11-2011 at 12:07 AM. |
