Argh, there's a stupid national strike again, so no trains today! I'm working at home right now, but I really wasn't prepared for that so I have very little to do right now.

I went to see the Doctor yesterday and we are reasonably certain that I am 6 weeks pregnant. I get the results of the blood test back today but all signs point to pregnant.

I have my first sonogram next week. Praying for great results and the news that all is going well. I am 40 so things are statistically a bit more iffy. I am thinking good thoughts (no smoking, moderate drinking, no drugs, good amount of exercise, eat well most of the time) but I will feel less nervous after next week.

So for the next 9 months I will be drinking Rooibos and whatever herbals I come across that I like that do not include rosemary. I will drink the other teas vicariously through all of you.

And yess, I know how to decaffinate tea but it still leaves a small amount of caffeine and I fall into that catagory of people who is not willing to take even a small risk when it comes to the health of my baby so I will just avoid tea.

Almost missed that one....

CONGRATS ! Keep taking your folic acid, do not drink any berries tea until the end of third trimester, sleep, take care of yourself, and just be happy !!

A fun video, and I really got into it when they started to vocalise the music, but I didn't think the Ukuleles were up to the job, I have to say. It needs those sweeping string sounds, and the Ukulele is just too thin and tinny.

My Husband loves The Good The Bad and the Ugly. His Bachelor apartment was decorated with wall hangings used by many college students. The ones that look like African prints but aren't and every one knows it. I bought several nice The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly posters and framed them for him. It took him a few months to hang them, and my coming over. I rarely visited his apartment, burnt orange color chairs with cigarette burns in them, ugly wall hangings, and the bathroom was scary. (shivers)

The next time I went over, about two months later, he had 10-15 framed Ben Harper, Beastie Boy, and Grateful Dead posters framed and hung. He collects rock concert posters but had never hung them. By the time he moved into the house, he had his walls double lined with posters. It was like visiting a museum.

Water, Honey Nut Cheerios with Skim Milk, and toast with raspberry jam.

I was told that berries where fine and that they would help with making contractions easier when the time came. Raspberry is suppose to be really good. And by told I mean I read it online and the Doctors list of things not to eat made no mention of avoiding berries.

Why don't we have an armistice day of WW2? Much more people died then... Is it because most of the people killed in WW2 were Russian, so the US and UK don't feel the need to have one?
