True. Though there are limits with what can be done here. (We're built into the side of a mountain, literally, so stairs are inevitable, and a garage or storage difficult.)

In my cup: fresh squeezed OJ and a large mug of Major Dickason's.

Well, I do not enjoy moving. I love being in another place, but I wish someone would pack for me. We have in our heads left the house we are (still) in now, but obviously cannot be in the new one. Plus the one now is a place we are renting, it was supposed to be only for 6 months and is now going on 14, so we never personalized it, it never really felt like "home".
I moved quite a few times in my life, some moves were temporary ones and planned so, two were permanent ones, but let me tell you: without kids, it is a breeze. No problem at all. With kids, it's a whole different thing, plus the size of the houses we are talking about is not small. Thank God we are not changing schools again, the new house is 1km away so that is nice, but I just wished it was finished and I could have a nice tea in front of a warm fire and just think about Xmas.
Anyway, I can talk and talk and moan and cry, it is not going to change the situation. Let's just say I am that near to getting a contract (the "feet in concrete and there you go in the Med" kind of contract ) on my electrician and my heating guy.
Milk in my cup.

I have received email from my brother and would like to share its content with you
Spoiler:
A friend of mine opened his wife's underwear drawer and picked up a silk paper-wrapped package:

'This, - he said - isn't any ordinary package.'
He unwrapped the box and stared at both the silk paper and the box.
'She got this the first time we went to New York, 8 or 9 years ago. She has never put it on, was saving it for a special occasion.
Well, I guess this is it.
He got near the bed and placed the gift box next to the other clothing he was taking to the funeral house, his wife had just died.
He turned to me and said:
'Never save something for a special occasion.

Every day in your life is a special occasion'.
I still think those words changed my life.
Now I read more and clean less.
I sit on the porch without worrying about anything.
I spend more time with my family, and less at work.
I understood that life should be a source of experience to be lived up to, not survived through.
I no longer keep anything.
I use crystal glasses every day...
I'll wear new clothes to go to the supermarket, if I feel like it.
I don't save my special perfume for special occasions, I use it whenever I want to.
The words 'Someday....' and ' One Day...' are fading away from my dictionary. If it's worth seeing, listening or doing, I want to see, listen or do it now....

I don't know what my friend's wife would have done if she knew she wouldn't be there the next morning, this nobody can tell.
I think she might have called her relatives and closest friends.
She might call old friends to make peace over past quarrels.
I'd like to think she would go out for Chinese, her favorite food.
It's these small things that I would regret not doing, if I knew my time had come.

Each day, each hour, each minute, is special.

Live for today, for tomorrow is promised to no-one

If you got this, it's because someone cares for you and because, probably, there's someone you care about.
If you're too busy to send this out to other people and you say to yourself that you will send it. One of these days, remember that 'One day' is far away... or might never come.....
No matter if you're superstitious or not, spend some time reading it. It holds useful messages for the soul.

It's a lesson too late for the learnin'
Made of sand, made of sand
In the wink of an eye my soul is turnin'
In your hand, in your hand.

Are you going away with no word of farewell?
Will there be not a trace left behind?
Well, I could have loved you better,
Didn't mean to be unkind.
You know that was the last thing on my mind.

You've got reasons a-plenty for goin'.
This I know, this I know.
For the weeds have been steadily growin'.
Please don't go, please don't go.

Are you going away with no word of farewell?
Will there be not a trace left behind?
Well, I could have loved you better,
Didn't mean to be unkind.
You know that was the last thing on my mind.

Good morning, all! Another Monday, and a cup of Yorkshire tea beside me, with some hot rye bread and butter for a quick breakfast.

Astra, your brother's note is SOOOO important to us all... To eliminate words such as 'someday' or 'one day soon' makes life so much richer. Stopping 'should have, could have, would have,' change our lives so dramatically, it's such a shame more folks keep using them. TODAY... Today is the day to do 'it,' what ever that is. Grab it, seize it, run with it, but for God's sake, don't put it off for another day!

I guess you are right. We forget about it in our life. When tomorrow doesn't happen it dawns upon us but then it is too late..

First he was drinking Orange flavored soda water, now Coca-cola... I think he's going through some sort of middle age crisis!

I'm gonna stick with a glass of Bombay Sapphire!

Black coffee in my cup, preparing to go out for my morning walk. Yay! I've got my mornings back! I'm glad daylight savings time is over so I don't have to waste half the morning waiting for daylight.
