I hope I can find an extra 70 bucks before this sale ends. I sure wouldn't mind having a spare reader. ![]() |

E: added pictures. This is how I'm using mine. Look closely at the open one, on the left side you can see where I cut away the holder. Last edited by spacebrew; 11-04-2011 at 09:33 AM. Reason: adding pictures |

It looks like the same product to me, but I originally hadn't opened that first link. It's probably fine for most people. It just bothered me so I altered it.

Funny that you mentioned it because the one review for that cover mentions the same thing. I always thought it was standard for it to attach to the back. Think I will purchase the $10 one to see how it compares to the igaditz. |

I got the iGadgitz case for the refurb I picked up a few weeks back and I like it pretty well as the stand is nice for hands-free reading. Though I too would prefer a closing flap that came from the back to the front.
I've also found that the iGadgitz case is a bit bulky for folding the cover back under the reader. Fortunately, I rarely do this, but it's worth mentioning in case that's an issue for someone. It is not a magnetic closure, it is a physical snap button. Likewise for the two snaps that hold the little easel stand. I'm getting a second 350 refurb, I think I'll try out the Navitech case on the new one, see what I think. |

I really want a sony cover for it. I love the way the hinges work, I don't like strap-based covers. I guess I'll see if I can drop by Best Buy to see if they have any left over..

Just got an email from my front desk that a package has been delivered via FedEx. My 350 is at home!! I'm going to run home during lunch and play with it.

ok, my quick thoughts. It is impossibly light. I couldn't figure out how to charge it--only by USB? that's a bummer. charging by USB is so slow. My battery had two charges left, so it was not depleted.
I'm not sure if I'm going to keep it. I'll have to figure out what the return policy is, but.. I'm sort of disappointed by the 350 because of two issues. A) the Pearl screen.. I did expect it to be a noticeable upgrade from my 505. Either I have an amazing 505, or a bad 350, or pearl isn't all that it was hyped up to be. Because I can barely see a difference in background paleness or text darkness. I tried looking at it in sunlight, in bright indoors light, not much of a difference, side by side. Then again, I didn't have much of a complaint about my 505, ever. I thought the screen had good contrast from the get-go. Both my 350 and 505 have silver bezel, btw, so it's not that. B) Excessive screen flashing. Right away I felt like the 350 flashes more than my 505. I had gotten so used to the 505 that when I concentrated on the page flashing I realized it does so more than I thought, but it's less than the 350. the 350 has a way of sort of wobbling into the next page, so it's like it flashes twice, almost. or flashes "darker." This bothers me. overall, i like that it is very light, but I'm bummed at the lack of a way to charge it other than by USB (unless I'm missing something), and I don't like the screen flashing. I want something with side page turn buttons, also. Maybe I'll look at the newly $99 Nook STR, or still wait for the Cybook Odyssey. |

Only by USB but ... if you connect an adapter to the USB and plug it to the light (as any other device), it will charge faster.

As for the charging, I use my cell phone charger (a mini USB). And it charges in less than an hour if it is way down. I think the refurbished I got went from dead to fully charged in about 45 minutes. Most of the time, I recharge when it goes down to 2 bars & it recharges within a half hour. I think the flashing on my T1 was more pronounced than on my 350. The Nook STR is a nice reader, never had a Cybook but it does look kind of nice (the Odyssey). Good luck. I don't know if it is returnable, you'll have to check with Sony. I would hope so. |

I charge mine with a white block wall outlet that came with an iPhone. Any of those wall outlet usb adapters work fine. I've never charged mine on a computer, and it usually takes about three hours for a full charge, then lasts about a month.
