I am in Canada -- on Vancouver Island. I placed my order with Kobo on October 22. It arrived today. I'm so excited but I'm at work with no WiFi so I can't play with my new toy until I get home. That didn't stop my from opening the box.

It arrived today even though my most recent email said that it wouldn't be shipping until the 7th.

Did your status online say that it had shipped? Or did it say "processing" up until you received it?

Last time I checked my status online it didn't say anything. My Vox never showed up in my purchase history. It still doesn't.

Is there somwhere else besides purchase history that I should have been looking?

There are two stores. The devices come from the new one. Try logging in here: https://www.kobo.com/customer/account/ This is the address that came from the email sent to me when my credit card was charged.

My Vox order doesn't show up in either store. I'm waiting on the Kobo help desk (just passed the 24 hour mark) to confirm there actually is an order. I do have an email receipt from when I ordered it, but it's a little disconcerting not to have the order showing up in the Kobo bookstore or Kobo ereader account.

I'm considering just picking one up at Best Buy/Future Shop and returning the other one if it ever shows up.

I just called Kobo and was told I should not see an order as it is handled differently. She said that if you have the confirmation e-mail, that is sufficient. She did not give me a timeline but said it should ship soon. I checked my card and it has not yet been charged.

ETA: This order process is quite frustrating. I hope they set up a better system soon.

kikibay Got my Vox and now have a dilemma. Vox will not power on after being put to sleep. You may be better off waiting for a Kindle Fire or until you can buy a Vox at a actual store so if it is not working you can actually bring it back..

P.S Hard reset does not work for it .

If it is WiFi related, that is a known issue for Android 2.3.3. Install the advancedwifilockfree.apk and you should be golden. Perhaps Kobo could bake it in for their next version.
