Why would you drink something that smells bad and tastes worse?
Working on pot one of Rooibos Wild Berries and Thyme. Yummy. Getting ready to hunt down the twit who developed the travel expense report software that my company uses and shoot them. |

Rooiboses are technically herbal and they taste great. (she says as she finishes her pot of Rooibos Wild Berries and Thyme)

Just my opinion. Although I must admit to not having tried Rooibos.

Rooibos may be technically herbal (it is), but unlike the VAST majority of herbal teas, the Rooibos I've had have been quite good. But I still prefer "real" teas.
Currently in the cup: the morning fresh squeezed OJ. Peet's Major Dickasons is just brewing... |

Technically, any tea that is not made from the tea plant is an herbal. So Matte's, Chai's, and the like are herbals. (shrugs)
I would say most of the standard herbals (anything sold by Celestial Seasons) I find disgusting. But that is my taste preference. And that taste preference has evolved quite a bit in the last 10 years. Exposure to new teas have greatly altered what I am drinking and that is a good thing. I did start with heavily flavored teas (Reublic of Tea) but find myself now strongly prefering unflaovred tea. I never liked Celestial Seasons though. |

![]() ![]() I did read the very article you quoted, and an order of two green teas was based on 10 most famous Chinese Teas article. Interesting. Although, Bi Luo Chun Tea and Liu An Gua Pian are both on the list, I don't think high about them. I do love Dragon Well and Huangshan Mao Feng. Iron Goddess too ![]() I don't think I tried any other. Quote:

Some of the teas in this list are hiding. I went through the list and wiki before but it slipped my mind ![]() The lists are almost identical, but some teas have funny names ![]() such as 6) Qi Men Red Tea - 7) Keemun (wiki) 7) Da Hong Pao Tea - 5) Red Robe Wuyi (wiki) |

First afternoon cuppa. Feeling down, weather gray, rain starting. So something a bit special - Phoenix Mountain Oolong.
