Yes, except in this case you should say "disinformation wants to be free" Let me throw in a few things the book says if you can believe it: (Warning, spoilers if such a thing matters for such a book) - Hell is a real place, physically real, a lake of fire with a pit, stench, infection, filth, evil and so on (the guy spent time there) - Jesus himself talked to the guy and took him out of hell so that he can tell or something like that. - Those in hell are tortured and by tortured I mean burning all the time, no time to rest or catch your breath, for all eternity. - Most of us are going to hell because we have at some point lied, or stolen (even if it's just candy, does not need to be a hold-up in a bank) or used the Lord's name in vain (just saying Goddamn it ! is enough to go to hell according to this book) - So Hitler and you (and me) will burn just the same, whether you kill 6 million people or just swear the Lord's name, just saying Goddamn it is the same, hell at the end of the line. - The author knows hell's location. He says hell is actually 3700 miles deep inside earth. - The only way to not go to hell is to convert to Christianity and accept Jesus and so on. Being a good person, paying your taxes, hurting no one and so on, is not enough, you must convert and adore Jesus. I'll stop here cause this stuff is just as ridiculous as it is long. And if I start debunking it, it will be even longer ... Last edited by Quexos; 10-30-2011 at 07:57 AM. |

Why do you recommend this volume? Perhaps you can explain the appeal that the stories (or this volume?) has for you? Don

Perhaps you misunderstood me (or I am not making myself clear): You posted in the Recommended Forum, which means you are recommending it. If you're NOT recommending the volume, then why post in the Recommended Forum? Don

Although I suppose a post comment of "I'm currently plowing my way through [INSERT TITLE HERE], which is worst book I've ever tried, to see how far I get before I give up in sheer disgust" counts as a sort of recommendation to avoid.

I'm a bit confused too . Can we only post what we are reading here if we are also recommending it? |
