Comedian Jim Gaffigan on vegetarianism, I paraphrase:

"I'm not a strict vegetarian. I do eat beef and pork. But not fish 'cause that's disgusting! How do you know when fish goes bad? It smells like fish either way!"

"'I haven't eaten meat in 5 years.' Yeah? Well I haven't had a banana in a month, you don't see me bragging."

Heh, at least with meat, we have the decency to kill before we cook and eat it -- vegetables are still alive!

I've always thought that the logical end of the vegetarian philosophy would forbid taking antibiotics, bathing, exterminating the house, etc. ... and eating anything but water and salt. Oh, yeah, and drinking unpurified water would be out, because it would have living stuff in it, and purifying water would kill that stuff, so that leaves ... um ... salt.

I could never be a Vegan, because I'd look ridiculous in plastic shoes.

I do know the difference between Beef and Dairy Cattle (being a Good Texan and all), so I partly concede the point, but perversity requires me to point out that even beef cattle give milk, though perhaps not good quality milk.

I like meat, and I like it fresh. It's always fun to choose my own live lobster! (But I make sure nothing is wasted - them shells get picked clean!)

Geoff: I tried quoting it, came up fine, both his, and yours. Also, I'm not noticing anything strange on the home page. <shrug> Maybe try clearing your cache and restarting your browser?
