That sort of worked Nyssa, but it's creating too many collections, but thanks for trying to help me.
I'm using this one, Create by Author Metadata Plugboard Any Format Kindle 2 {series:|| }{series_index:0>2s|[|] - }{title} Title it comes out like this Author LN, FN Then inside I'm all alone Author LN, FN Stand by Myself Author LN, FN Lambert and Butler [01] Smoking Kills Author LN, FN Cream Cakes [06] Makes you fat Author LN, FN where Lambert and Butler/Cream Cakes is the series and Stand AloneNovel(s)/ Smoking Kills/Makes you fat are the titles. This is good, it's what I'm looking for, I've created a custom column called short series Short Column built from other columns {series:shorten(4,-,4)} which produces this Lambert and Butler = Lamb-Butl Cream Cakes = Crea-Cake how do I get that onto my kindle, also does it always produce the Authors LN, FN after each book, I already know it's by that Author. TIA. Last edited by tumchiemac; 10-19-2011 at 08:18 AM. |

Glad you found something you liked.
![]() The LN, FN is a setting under Preferences --> Tweaks: "Author Sort name algorithm" As to getting it on your Kindle, you have to rerun the collections plugin. I do not remember, however, if you have to resend the books first. Hopefully someone else can come along and answer that for you. |

![]() I found one by Chaley, thanks M8. {series:shorten(4,-,4)}{series_index:0>3s| [|] }{title} which produces this. (Author)Mac, Tumchie Inside that collection. I'm all alone Tumchie Mac Stand by Myself Tumchie Mac Lamb-tler [01] Smoking Kills Tumchie Mac Crea-akes [06] Makes you fat Tumchie Mac So that so far is brilliant. Is there any way of getting rid of Tumchie Mac or is that part of the Kindle make up. Last edited by tumchiemac; 10-20-2011 at 10:33 AM. |

Thanks
Wow! I just used this. So powerful. I didn't think I would ever see a way of doing this on my kindle.
Thank you so much! |

Will this work on the K4 (keyboard-less non-touch Kindle)?

I tried to change the font on my Kindle 4 to DroidSerif by following your instructions, but it is not showing up in the Modify Kindle Settings box.
I keep getting a message that the DroidSerif font is missing the DroidSerif-Regular.ttf file, etc. for each of the font types which I renamed and copied to my Kindle font folder as requested. Please help me to resolve this as I would like to use this font. |

Did anyone try this collection plugin on Kindle 4?
I wonder if it has any problem. |

I just used the Kindle collections plug in and added the Georgia font on my K3. I love it!! But, I switched back to the sans serif for a few pages and then tried to go back to the Georgia and it was gone from my Kindle. If I choose the Georgia font do I always need to use that font? Can I switch back and forth between 2?
