Who picked up almost all of the Blackberry and Other users? I will give Apple credit for having 28% in one device though.

iPhones are not status symbols and are not more expensive than any other smartphone.
Contract prices: iPhone 3GS - $0 iPhone 4 - $100 iPhone 4s - $200-$400 (depending on memory). |

I was disappointed in the nexus. I expected it to be a combination of ice cream sandwich plus the current top specs. However, it doesn't appear to live up to its own GII in some respects (though it does top it in others).
I am more impressed by the new Motorola. The battery life is especially impressive. However, NFC is clearly important to Androids direction and they choose to pass on it. Plus, of course, the fact that by the time they get ICS, it will be nearly time for jellybean. I'm pretty comfortable with the thought that any phone that I buy will be "beat" within a short time by something better. After all, I am still comfortably using my HTC Hero. However, because I know I will have to live with it for a few years, I am interested in the fewest compromises possible at the moment I buy. |

I voted Android. I've gone from a WinMo to BB to Android. Though every platform has some gems, Android tends to have the best features overall. Best hardware, software and choices. Androids latest OS (ICS) has added many features that make it more productive device. =X= |

I've had almost all of them. I voted the iPhone because i used to be someone who just never could find the perfect phone for me. I bought an iPhone 3G and never looked back, lol.

Android without being locked into a particular carrier. My phone would be used for reading and phone calls so the rest of it is whoop-ti-doo I can do without. Also, to quote Sweatpea "I don't like walled gardens"

And I have used smart phones since 2003, mainly to use IM messaging and mobile e-mail instead of calls during my frequent international travels. Every phone paid for itself in months. |

I just ordered a new iPhone because I love my iPod Touch, so the iPhone just feels familiar and comfortable. I switched over to using a MacBook about 4 years ago when my Dell laptop literally fell apart at the seams, and I'm quite pleased with how well the MacBook has held up despite all the abuse I put it through. Plus, I really like how nicely Apple products play with one another. I supposed the "walled garden" would be an issue to me if there was an app that I really wanted and couldn't have, but it just hasn't come up.
