Coffee Black, no milk, only water ....

[Why ? When I ask for a black coffee in a cafe, do I get a black coffee; cup not filled and a small pot of milk !]

It is the only tea I know that tastes very similar be it bags or loose. Cooked Pu-Erh that is.

I love the Pu-Erh I am having. Obviously, no milk in it, but still very tasty. I think it is weird that I like it, because I crave for cafeine but Pu-Erh has the lowest cafeine level of all teas (apart from Rooibos I think). But still, I don't know Jack about tea, so I am just trusting my tastebuds, which are underdeveloped anyway.

I remember the first one like it happened yesterday. Of course I cannot be sure how it would go but it started so....
31st December 1990. 1-2am. Technically, 1 January 1991. Moscow, very close to Red Square. I was drunk. Very drunk. One of the few times in my life when I was sooo drunk. Not 17 years old yet. The first New Year without parents supervision 1250km away

Everybody celebrates New Year, thousands of people on streets. A happy company of grown-ups pass me and there was a beautiful woman, 30-35-40 years old? Slender, long hair...She noticed I was staring at her. She left her company, came to me. Huge smile on her face. - Hello! Grabbed my hand and started to pull me toward her company. Let's go she said. Let's go! I was so scared. I just pulled away from her smiling foolishly. She still smiled and waved her hand, said something and Let's go again. I could only dumbly shake my head...she laughed and wished me Happy New Year.
The first thing the following morning I did, I went to see a friend who knew English a little bit and asked him what the heck Let's go mean...
While typing it, I almost relived it again.
I regretted my foolishness for many years after that.

My uni friends saw all of this and ridiculed me for the rest of my stay in Moscow. It was the new tale, the previous one happened during my first week in uni. We worked in Kolkhoz and I made a few friends in my group because I helped them with physics exam, so they joined Uni and avoided Army draft. They realised that I was virgin (sure I was. It was barely 4 years since I learned that men and women had different things in pants). They arranged with a girl from the local village who came and invited me to her house. She said her parents were absent

I guess I was never again scared as much as when I realised what they all expect of me and I ran...

Today is 20th October 2011. Would you believe it that less than one year ago my taste buds were completely undeveloped? It all started on 27th October 2010 in the city of Bath, in a cosy tea room of Tea House Emporium. Coincidence? It started with Pu-Erh. When I looked at their menu

black, green, oolong - I heard the names. Pu-Erh -

no idea. I should try.
On the next day I tried roasted mate (because I knew a word mate thanks to friend Beppe

). Bought 2 packs of loose English Breakfast, the last of which I have been drinking every morning for the last 2 or 3 weeks

I am still very grateful to them that they sparked my interest in the proper tea. I think I was ready but needed the final push.

In honour of Tea House Emporium's tea room Mate coconut milk in my cup. didn't drink it since January/February 2011.

A cup of Lion Mountain Keemun. This Keemun is about a year old now, and is finally coming into its own. Most teas are best when young, but Keemun seems to actually improve with some age. Strange. IAC, this was a good cuppa, and has perked up my afternoon.

Hello all

Long time no see.

I just finished my home made Nes vanilla. I took it to the uni in a Starbucks portable cup to help me wake up but this teacher is terrible and I am so not interested in what she is saying so the coffee isnt working either.

How is everybody doing? Whats new?

I have not been reading much lately

I read one bridal book

and now the uni has started so i will be doing my assigned reading and not g.g.martin anymore...

whats hot on yalls reading lists now?

My brother tried to explain this to me. When we do sport, our body secrets some chemical, injects it into our blood, that affects our mood in a positive way. It is not something we can control consciously. Don't remember its name though.
