New Reader with great pdf-support: Mantano Reader (like aldiko+ezpdf) - Page 30

Has anyone been able to get the newest update to work with Calibre content server? I set it up the same way I do with Aldiko and Moon+ (http://myipaddress:8080/stanza) and although I'm able to see and browse through my books, it comes back with the error "no link found" when I try to import a book.

When I try to search for a book, it force closed (for version 1.6). I updated with version 1.62 and the force close when searching has been fixed but I still can't import a book.

Thanks again I just updated. I love the new gestures settings. This is something I wanted for a long time!

I do not like the TOC Menu changes it looks very bright and washed out. Hard to read the text it's need to be bold or just more readable. Is this fixed in the other updates I've yet to receive?

Still trying to figure out the collections but other then that I really like it.

Edit: Arrow icon used is really hard to see on a 3.2 screen it needs to be a darker green.

Hi - I am also a happy new mantano user (ver. 1.6.2). Very glad to see opds support added as that is the one feature I missed from aldiko. However, I also can't get it to download books from my calibre server. It displays the book list, but the cover thumbnails are just blank boxes, and I just get an "Error Download failed" when I try to download any book. Aldiko's opds connection to the same calibre server works fine.

One other annoyance: whenever I search for text in a book, the search starts at the beginning. Could we have an option for the in-book search to start at the current position?

I'm on 1.6.2 and I'm getting a force close with OPDS as soon as I click on my feed. I used calibre2opds to generate a catalog and I'm using a public folder in Dropbox to link to my Calibre library. I confirmed the link to the index.xml file is valid and contains the appropriate info.

Figured it out. I had spaces in the URL. Mantano doesn't like that. OK. Invalid path message would be nice. Don't force close on me for that.

It's all good. My first time doing the OPDS thing. I like it.

Everything works; I downloaded a book successfully.

The blank thumbnail images may be a separate issue. I have the blank boxes as well and can download. Hopefully, you'll get some help from others soon. I'm not familiar with Calibre Content Server.

I can use my content server, but use the basic page (http://myipaddress:8080) or the mobile one (http://myipaddress:8080/mobile).

Try to use a books without any spaces in the file name... I noticed that's a problem on some browsers, and it might be the same with the OPDS...

I have just installed adobe pdf reader v10.1.0, rendering quality and speed are great, and the new features ,such as bookmarks and copy function, are aslo impressive.

pdf reader v10.1.0 requires android 2.2, and so does bluefire reader, and mantano runs on 2.1, does this lead to poor rendering quality when dragging and zooming pages.

I had really hoped they fixed the font issue of Bold and Italics being in the default font when using a custom font.
