Finished two pots of Iron Goddess. It is a good tea but probably one I won't replace. I have 34 teas at the office and really need to get that number down to about 25.

Good morning, everyone. Thursday morning and I'm getting ready to head off to the hospital for some minor surgery.

No breakfast for me today as per doctor's orders, but I am sneaking in a cup of Keemun tea. It will be a local anesthetic so no worries about the tea. I really could eat if I wanted to, but I'll play by the rules for once. Hospitals in Japan have very different requirements.. I even have to bring my own drinking cup, towel, PJ's (I've never worn PJ's!!!

I'm bringing a sweat suit instead.) And I have to take the bus to the hospital. I'm not allowed to ride my bike there. My wife offered to drive me, but no need. The nurse promised to hold my hand, so I won't be afraid.

Keep your fingers crossed for me!

It will be an overnight stay, and my wife will drive me home tomorrow night. I've requested a private room, so I won't be embarrassed when I cry. No internet at the hospital, though I may be able to read the forum on my iPhone after the surgery. I've packed my e-reader and iPhone so I'll have something to pass the time.

See you all in a day or two!

I have quite a routine set up.

Wake up. Can of Dr. Pepper with breakfast.

Go to work, first break a whole bottle of Dr. Pepper.

Second break (lunch) another bottle. Lasts me until I leave work.
