![]() If I saw you in heaven? Would it be the same If I saw you in heaven? I must be strong And carry on, 'Cause I know I don't belong Here in heaven. Would you hold my hand If I saw you in heaven? Would you help me stand If I saw you in heaven? I'll find my way Through night and day, 'Cause I know I just can't stay Here in heaven. ![]() ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AscPO...feature=fvwrel ) Good morning, all! Happy Wednesday! Great tea today... my unbranded Keemun, but really bad croissants! I saw some fresh mini croissants in the bakery section of the market and thought I'd save myself some trouble of making them again... Bad move. Texture more like bread than croissant, and so sweet I think I need an insulin shot! I'll double up on the tea to make up for them! Quote:
As for the recipes, of course the ones that came with the machine, as well as several other machine recipe books. Still, nothing that would come close to 'good' bakery bread for me. Quote:
![]() Quote:
I will say that I used the machine regularly to mix and knead dough... I just don't like the way they bake them. It made the very best pizza dough for the deep-dish pan-style pizza! The machine was very good for that, as well as for the 'first rise.' ![]() Now... another cup of unbranded Keemun! Stitchawl |

Tetley's Orange Pekoe with a shot of Appleton's Estate - just the thing for a cold damp fall night.

![]() I am also very curious about their Dragon Well to compare it with NBTea's. Interesting, that I didn't know anything about the tea. Ordered about 14 samples of Chinese green tea from NBTea and liked Dragon Well only. Last edited by astra; 10-19-2011 at 05:01 AM. |

We have a very good bread machine, which we use in France in the summer, and were delighted. I brought it to Germany after the holidays two years ago, used the same mix, and the bread was much drier and not as nice.
We brought it back to France, and the bread was delicious again. I really believe the water quality makes a big difference. Since my water here originally is saline water that is treated to consumption, but is still pretty disgusting (we wash our teeth with it, but that's pretty much it) I am not even thinking of getting the bread machine here. Even the famous Britta Filter (I don't like them. They are very good, but Britta is Superman's ex name) do not change the water taste, and I don't even want to know what is in it. Of course I could bake bread with mineral water, but that's a huge hassle considering we want to eat less bread, not more.... |
