It's part of cost cutting. Razor thin margins on the device itself, made up for in content and accessory sales. Amazon is selling their stuff at cost or at a loss knowing that they can grab a large chunk of the market that way and have the only channel for content on the device for the most part.

Ironic thing is that it is because as customers, it's how they can provide what we ask for.

Does anyone observe that the dirt-resistance-ability of T1's touch screen is no better than 650, finger mark left behind after swipes, but not an issue with 650.

I wonder whether T1 understands Cyrillic out of the box.

If you want to post a sample Cyrillic epub I'll be happy to try it for you, though I must point out I cannot read Cyrillic.

TBH, I have no samples in epub. I am only curious. Some 15 books in Russian that I have am planning to read for the last 3 years are in LRF format.
