I too just replaced my battery and the battery performance is like new. I use PRS+ and have added the large center joypad button to use to turn to the next page. A nice alternative to the small buttons.

i figured out theres plenty of space inside, so i'm looking for a nice battery to fit and get at least twice if not triple the capacity.

there's some space if you leave out the metal cradle also the plactics can be adapted a little. this gives enough space to fit a mibilephone battery, stripped out of plastics etc, the thing is to find one that fits the space best while also having a big enough capacity.

what's worth considering is also if it makes sense, as the batterys discharge themseff too. i mean, even with a theoretical capacity of lets say 2000 mAh instead of 750mAh, will ir really hold 2,4x as long? or will it dicharge it self anyway, so you'd need to charge every 2 months anyway. for now i have a 1000 mAh and 2 cables sticing out through the audio jack to measure the voltage from time to time and see the progress

Got my 505 in January 08 and have used it extensively since then. But the battery was starting to go and yesterday, I dropped it while walking into the gym. I picked it up and tried to switch it on but it will not start.

So I went to the Sony store and got a T1 and it seems okay although there are a few things I don't like about it. - The battery indicator only shows on the home screen and not on every page like it did on the 505. - I can't find the Bookmarks list for a particular book. Nor can I find the table of contents, history etc. I imagine it's there somewhere I just haven't found it. |

Bookmarks are under 'Notes'. 'History' doesn't exist, per se - its function has been replaced by 'Navigate Page'. TOC is also under 'Navigate Page'. Enjoy your T1! Your power button may be fixable - check out this thread: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?t=49562 |
