...always get a promp "No job selected".

Don't know if it's a bug in 0.8.22

This works fine in 0.8.22. You have to actually select a job. It is not automatic. Even if it looks like it is selected click on the job and you will see it get highlighted. Then you can stop it.

Thanks, dwanthny but it doesn't work for me.

I've done it plenty of times but now I always get that prompt.

I select the job, the job is highlighted and when I click on "Stop selected jobs" I get the prompt. I've tried choosing one job - the active one - or several in the job queue. Always same results.

Edit: calibre 0.8.22 on XP SP3

I'm running the same OS, but the portable version of 0.8.22. What kind of jobs are you trying to stop? If I recall correctly some types of jobs can't be stopped.

Hopefully someone with more specific info will weigh in shortly.

I'm having the same issue with Calibre ver 8.22 on Win 7 64 bit and in Mac OS 10.7. The jobs have all been Convert .HTMLZ to .MOBI files. I can stop the job with "Stop All Device Jobs" but no matter what I click to try to stop an individual job, I get the error message. Until ver 8.22, I was able to stop individual file conversion jobs.


This is the error message:

calibre, version 0.8.22
ERROR: No job: No job selected

There is indeed a typo that prevents the stopping of selected jobs, will be fixed in the next release.
