To morrow morning, at 6.30, my eldest daughter goes to the hospital to deliver her second son by a cesarean section. My second grand child also. She sounds very relaxed and ready for it. Her husband will be with her. Her first one was born 2 years ago in August and is a very fine young little man that loves his grandfather very much (that's me).

She does not know at what time the thing will happen. It is a big hospital with more than 6000 births every year. I asked her to send me a txt when she knows that is her moment so that I can attune better with her.

This way Little Daughter will be a double aunt and chief of the gang of youngsters in the family (Little Daughter's comment).

I do hope that everything goes well. I posted this here as I know that good wishes and feelings are powerful.

Best wishes to you all. Both of my beautiful granddaughters were born by caesarian as their mother is Rh negative and there were problems, they are fine and thriving at ages 1 and 3.

My friends.
First of all let me thank warmly Pooh, Latinandgreek (ex animo tibi gratias), Geoff, Anne and Mag. Your whishes worked just fine!

We are reacher of the nicest Jacopo (3650 grams and 50 cm) that one can desire. The mother is in perfect shape and very happy. They are treating her to her complete satisfaction. Of course. Births happen in hospital, that is the place for sick people, but giving birth is not a illness, on the contrary. Of course one always trepidates.

He had very vital parameters. He started to suck almost immediately and luckily she has good stuff to give. He sucked already twice. Good. With that weight he has enough margin to adapt to live by himself, without anything more than what her mother can give. I like them very much when they are so tiny. I hope that I will be allowed to touch him and to smell him and to see how much he fills my hands.

Older daughter touched my heart telling me that Jacopo has a lighter skin and longer fingers and feet than his brother who leans on the father side. She told me, he might be like us, we are blond with blue eyes with fine lineaments. That was very sweet.

We are going to see them tomorrow afternoon. Little daughter is eager to see the youngest of the gang that she intends to boss.
