(5) Some remarks for the academics. When using the annotation tool – this means, highlighting some sentences or parts of text – then in case you don't add any text by yourself, then Boox just copies this portion of the text and shows it directly under the 'All annotations' menu (see the picture attached). I find it really great since so I can later find interesting passages very easily, and theoretically can take the notes file from Boox and import it your personal computer for later usage.
Hi studiosus

Did you find any way to export comments? This was the deal breaker for me. What format is the notes file? Have you tried this? How does it separate between notes taken on different books?

I am currently using rooted Nook Touch and using epub works well with annotations...they are stored in a sqllite database that can be easily exported.

ezPDF works close to decent in landscape mode. Quite challenging if the book is full format (Letter/A4) ...pocket format is OK.

How does epub annotation export work?

One last question: the PDF readers on PC have the option to select text and press Ctrl+B to create a book mark with the text selected above. Can you try to see if there is any way to do that with your ereader?

Just to let you know that somehow I finally managed to get my M90 back working again. Tried all the different solutions with wall-charger, reset button combinations etc, but nothing helped. Now after a week I played again with reset buttons and charged it from a wall again and suddenly its alive

To PF4Mobile:
Comments are on the separate file for every book, the file has the same name as original file and with the extension .sketch (for example mybook.pdf.sketch). The file content begins with:

I haven't yet found a way how to export notes, so if you or someone else could give some hints, it would be great! About the bookmarks - I think it is not possible to do it the way you mentioned. Just adding bookmarks is possible.

ha! That's sqllite format.
that seem to contradict this

Try this: copy the file on your PC and from there try to open it with the aplication you will download from here https://sourceforge.net/projects/sqlitebrowser/

Forgot to say..rename the file to mybook.pdf.sketch.db (add extension .db)

here is what you might see. Alternatively you can send me an exemple of a file annotated, highlithed an with sketches and I will have a look at it. PM me if you want to do that. One more note: I keep saying annotations, in fact it is highlighted text that I am looking for. That is, you read, you highlight something, that is copied automatically in the file you mentioned and I would like that to be exported. I also own a eeeNote and and there is a guy on tabletpcreviews.com who created an application to export sketches from the eeenote database and merge them with the coresponding PDF as layers. I can try to ask him for help and directions for doing the same for this if it is proved that we have the same sort of sketch storing ... To do that we need a small PDF with annotations a coulpe of sketches and highlights to begin with

It is possible to add fonts when you upgrade the firmware. I unzipped the firmware, copied my fonts into the fonts folder, and flashed the device. The fonts are installed and available.

As for copying fonts using the USB cable, I am unable to do it at the moment. My Windows 7 laptop cannot read the Linux partition on the M90 because it is an "unknown" file system.

There exist "drivers" to read ext2/3 and other Linux file systems under Windows (at least for Windows XP).
Search for instance "Ext2IFS".

It looks like Studiosus is not around any more.
Can anybody else help us with trying the things suggested below? (also please see my previous post above)

You can make the font bigger or smaller. You can zoom on the pdf, but there is no function to make the text darker. I have never needed such a function though since the contrast of the m90 is quite good in my opinion.

No, I haven't seen it. But I never had any reason to make the text any darker (or bolder) since it has a very good contrast to begin with

Just for clarification: darker doesn't means bolder but just a better suited for an ebook reader anti-aliasing algorithm (instead for a computer).

It is said that you could press and hold the power button when you are reading the ebook. Then it would automatically jump back to the last page you read when u switch on again. Anyone has tried?

I am still considering Kindle DX and M90, or may wait for M92.
It seems that the pdf fit-screen feature of M90 makes it better than Kindle DX... but all of you reported so many bugs... ~__~ The most serious problem to me is the IR sensor. Is it better now?

I dislike the keyboard of Kindle DX because it makes the whole Kindle bigger in size...

Yes. It is correct.

But in order to power off, you have to press the button strongly for a while, otherwise it will go to standby mode. This is so annoying.

Well, now I'm back. Had to be away for a while. Anyway, I haven't had time to check your solution, but I attached here two files - one notes file from M90 and the original .pdf. I really hope you can find some sort of good solution for exporting the comments!

PS: I needed to rename the sketch file to .txt (just added .txt at the end), otherwise it would not allow to upload it.
