Battery drain in standby mode?

My daughter has a Nook Touch. I thought that the battery didn't drain in standby mode: in the past, I looked at the battery level in the evening and the next morning, and didn't see a change.

The last time I checked, it was at 45%, and this morning in was dead (and used in this period).

Does your Nook Touch battery drain in standby mode? If so how fast?

How many days has passed since you checked it? Is wifi on?

I never experience a battery drop in stand by mode. It will drop once I start reading, but it's normal use.

Stand by is screensaver mode, righ? lol

At least two weeks.

Wifi wasn't on.

What's screen saver mode? I don't think screen savers are needed for eInk. I pushed the button on the back.

Yes, my Nook touch has a slight drain even if I'm not reading during that time frame. Can't tell you what percent, haven't bothered to figure it out, but its not enough for me to be concerned.

The Nook Touch runs a screensaver in standby for aesthetic reasons. This leads to very, very slow battery drain when it changes the picture. One fix is to place an image file (600x800) in a new folder the "screensavers" folder on the Nook (when you plug into the computer, the one that is not the SD card) and switch that to the screensaver. Then it doesn't refresh the screen.
