^You can always just read a couple of the letters on the blog and see if you like it. Although the introduction was a nice read.

A pretty fair summary, it turns out. There is quite a lot of gore, but I don't mind reading it, although I wouldn't like it in a film. There's a good mixture of filling in the main character's past through journal entries, and 'present day' action. I liked it as much as or more than the first two.

Next: Threshold by Eric Flint and Ryk Spoor

A continuation of the story started in Boundary. Space and Mars and ancient* aliens.

Good thing about Coraline is that it takes only an hour or so to read. So it's more like a really rewarding snack.

After only having had time/strength/concentration for short stories for a while I checked out (from the Swedish e-library) the third part a Swedish police series trilogy I have been following this year. And now the dog is kind of upset because it seems his walk is getting postponed... a lot...
The book/series? Found an English language page about it:

Currently taking a break from huge amounts of Warhammer 40K and reading -wait for it!- Warhammer!! 'Trollhunter' in the Gotrek and Felix series. It's not holding my attention as well as space marines blasting stuff apart though.

I intend to read some Forgotten Realms soon. I have the 'Elminster' series to get through. I have always been a Dragonlance man and never used the Realms setting as an AD&Der.

SF adventures in the solar system. Heros, villains, romance, great stuff.

It does end in the middle of a main story arc, after finishing one minor story arc, so I hope the next one is along fairly soon. But although contracted, there's no sign of it yet, and that's out to the end of 2012. Sigh. It was a good fun read.

Next up: F&SF Magazine, September/October 2011 by Spilogale Authors

The last issue was pretty good. I hope this is the same. I'm not too fond of the Kindle magazine format though. I'm almost tempted to see how easy conversion to a normal Kindle ebook would be. But not yet. Perhaps if I have to switch to Amazon for Analog and Asimov's as well.

Currently reading Lolita by Nabukov. Don't know what to think about it at the moment (just 23%), but I'm not as impressed as I was few months ago with Ayn Rand or Philip K. Dick.

Ciao!

I'm reading the Night Circus by Erin Morganstern. I'm only 40 or so pages in but I like it so far. I plan to read Ready Player One next.
I've been in a bit of a reading funk so I hope this will pique my mojo.

Really liked Vanessa Diffenbaugh's The Language of Flowers. The author has been a foster mother and does a great job portraying how hard it is for abandoned kids to trust others -- and themselves. There's a re-invention of self that reminds me of Robin McKinley's Deerskin.

Just finished "Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency". It took a bit longer than planned and was not as funny as I hoped.

So, back to Nick Spalding and his latest book; "Love ... From Both Sides".
23% into it and I'm ROFLMAO *big time*.
