I bought a whole bunch of thermal knit long sleeved henley style shirts last year. They're comfortable and they layer great. I got some really nice colors, too, so I think they'll do for this year as well.

I finally got to wear my new riding jacket today! It arrived just after the hot weather set in, and it's been sitting in the closet all summer. It was 'almost' a bit much for today's ride, but leaving the collar open and unzipping the vents made it work just fine. It has a zip-off storm collar that I removed for today, and didn't zip it all closed. Opening the two diagonal chest vents made everything comfortable!
I think this is going to be a comfortable winter riding season!

I am buying a new laptop bag, but I'm deciding between these two:

Note the weights listed at Amazon. The first is 0.4lb lighter than the second, which for carrying makes a difference.

Great point, I didn't think to check! That is quite a bit of a weight difference... I think I've pretty much decided on the first one. Can't wait to pick it up tomorrow!
