What exactly do you like about Mantago over ezPDF? Personally I must say for me ezPDF and RepliGo are far superior PDF readers. They both have faster engines, renders are more accurate, and the reading flow is better. Both in pinch to zoom and zoom sticking and in re-flowing text. =X= |

The main frustration I've had with Mantano are page turns in PDFs, which is a problem with every PDF app--taps are not reliable at all, bringing up the menu more often than turning a page (which is still better than misread touches causing unwanted zooming in ezPDF), and swipes are more reliable but still sometimes bring up the menu, meaning if I want a reliable page-turn I have to use the volume buttons, which if you accidentally hit more than once, can jump a random distance forward in the book. PDF is a pain in the a$$ format to read no matter what, but so far Mantano provides the most agreeable experience, particularly because it can also serve as my primary reader, for epubs. |

Also there's the matter of registering with the OS to open .acsm when something like Dropbox or file manager wants to 'open'. |

I've managed to install the update to 1.5 on my Desire HD fine, but when I install it on my Galaxy Tab it keeps on saying I've an update in the market and when I open the Mantano I find it is still the previous version.

Okay...so with this new update...It wouldn't work on my Rooted Nook Color Autonooter. I then went to CM7...and it won't open there either, does the force close thing.
Now...I tried the LCD Density change etc...it still doesn't work...if an update or fix doesn't happen soon I need to put in a request for a refund...which is a damn shame because i LOVED this reader |

Hi,
Thank you for 1.5, most changes are pretty good! I like the night-mode and the advanced settings very much. But here are the cons: - I do not like the ugly gray frame reading PDF files. In 1.24 PDF-Files looked much better. - Mantano does not remember the settings in PDF files after the program was finished. Always at margins - The German translation has some errors. Please change the following text: "Drücken Sie zurück noch einmal um zu beenden" in "Drücken Sie noch einmal Zurück um das Programm zu beenden" "Eltern" in "Bisher" "Nach Hinzufügungsdatum" in "Nach Hinzufügedatum" "Nach letzte Zugriffsdatum" in "Nach letztem Zugriffsdatum" "Ungelesen Buch" in "Ungelesenes Buch" "Alle Bücher ohne sammlungen sehen" in "Alle Bücher ohne Sammlungen sehen" "Sie haben schon keine Notiz erstellt" in "Sie haben noch keine Notiz erstellt" "Synch and back-uo" in "Syncronisation und Sicherung" "Collect personal data" in "Persönliche Daten sammeln" "Swipe" (Links Swipe, Rechts Swipe...) in "Wischen" Thank You, Ingo |

Did a re-install of the software, just to see if that would do it...still nothing...on the Nook Color Mantano just does NOT work anymore after this update.

Just upgrade to v1.5, and I think not worthy, this may be the most disappointing upgrade ever for Mantano(device samsung YP-G70, android 2.2.2)
one big bug in v1.5 when reading pdf in landscape mode , page fitted to width, swiping to the next page, you see the middle portion of next page, not the begining of it, which means that after you turn page, you have to drag down in order to read from the begining of next page. besides ,I find page turning and dragging is not as smooth as v1.24. For an ebook reader, reading experience is most essential, and version 1.5 seems to be a setback. Regarding to page dragging and turning ,I thinik Mantano should learn from bluefire reader(a free application). In bluefire reader, there are 4 page turning mode, you can choose the most comfortable one for eyes. when turning and dragging pages, there is no fading effect, texts are shown almost immediately. I think the rendering method used by bluefire reader is most comfortable for eyes among all pdf readers in market. Last edited by wbhuang; 10-07-2011 at 06:45 AM. |

Well v1.5 finally installed on My Galaxy Tab and seemed fine untill I started to organise my books.
I made nine main collections which are mostly the authors name and then started adding sub-collections to some of them. This was proving to be most successfull untill I started scrolling down my list of books not in a collection. I realised that I need to add more collections so selected a book and click on organise and found that my list of collections now filled the screen and the ability to add a new collection on-the-fly was not shown. I assumed this was still there at the bottom so tried to scroll down. I could not scroll down. So untill this is resolved, be aware of the number of collections you have and if you need more, you may need to make them before selecting books. Last edited by ghostyjack; 10-07-2011 at 09:56 AM. |

At leat for the rendering of pages , bluefire reader(require android 2.2 or above) , a free application , is much better than mantano.
Hope that mantano reader can catch up. Last edited by wbhuang; 10-07-2011 at 10:06 AM. |

Hi,
i will also go back to 1.24. Somtimes Mantano crashes when it starts. The new grey frame is very ugly at pdf-files. When I reopen a book it don´t remember exactly tha last page. Turning a page is very slow at pdf. The new features are very nice, but I think, 1.50 is a step backward... Cheers, Ingo |
