Edit: Just went to the Sony site and now you are able to purchase the red one! I pre-ordered mine from Newegg and they are still showing as On Hold.

Er.. I've been using regular non computer USB sources to charge my 505 from the beginning. It's nice to be able to read while charging and to have it charge so quickly...

I pre-ordered the red T1 and cover from Sony on 9/14. They charged me for the cover yesterday and the reader today.

Could you possibly do one more thing - check if the reader can handle cyrillic support (the 950 browser couldn't even browse non-latin web pages). This a bulgarian news site: www.dir.bg

To those of you who have tried both the T1 and the 950: How would you compare web surfing on these devices? From the video review it seemed like there's a lot of black flashing when it refreshes - is it like that on the 950 as well?

And how is the overall "feel" of this device compared to 950?

(I'm asking since I'm going through the painful process of choosing between a new t1 or a used 950, which will turn out roughly the same price - and I don't mind buying used)

Questions for those who have used it....

1. How is the battery level indicated? Is there an indicator on the front face, or does it just let you know when you need to recharge? [I just researched and found the battery indicator on the main page]

2. When browsing, can you pull up any site, or are you limited to the specific sites (Wiki, books stores, libraries, facebooks.....) that it has been preset for. In particular I was wondering about pulling up my web home page.

3. Do you have to use the Sony Reader to read the books. I always just drag and drop my non-DRM'd books onto the SD card and read from there. How will this work?

Thanks for answering. I am strongly leaning towards the T1.

Why would you want to even consider going on Youtube with a reader? I realize that I'm sounding rather snarky but why would bother? I think this thing is hard enough to even search for a book through the various online channels. I can't fathom trying Youtube.
