Perfect early fall weather... Simply perfect! Cool enough to need to close the vents on my jacket, cool enough to switch to full leather riding gloves and boots, but not so cold as to need the jacket or glove liners. I could be happy with this kind of weather all year long!

Sharing the cool weather with Pooh - its fabulous. The only downside is that our cat has started nesting in odd places.

The box on the left is one of her usual "houses." The bag on the right is my workbag for my professorship. I took my papers out to grade and found her there a few hours later.

LOL! This morning I took out and plugged in Felicity's electric heating pad, and put it on her tree. Except for a brief nap in the sun this afternoon, she hasn't moved off it except to visit her litter box! She may not move until next summer...

Joys of being raised in a small town. The mayor is on my Facebook, and I blackmail him every chance I get. I've known him since I was four. My dad trained him for his "day job" which is maintenance for the school system. His dad, in turn, taught me high school biology.

summer is acomin in, loudly sing cucku! I was able to sleep part of last night with no bedclothes over me - I love Gold Coast summers, sans aircon - and look forward to 5 or 6 months of sweaty sleeping under a ceiling fan. My joints stop aching. The bluetongued lizard under the patio has come out to gape at me, after a good hibernation. Soon the nestlings of all persuasions will be making that breathless squeak that gets me reaching for the WD40 to oil their voices.

It's officially fall! Cats are nesting anyplace it's warm. Human body heat is at a premium. Any time I sit down, my lap is immediately occupied. Cats go to bed before I do - and are found nestling into the down comforter. Actual touching is occurring as two cats attempt to lie down in the same piece of sunlight on the carpet!

I am wearing my new hoodie - warm!

*sigh* Here we go again. You mob all start feeling cold and us mob in OZ are warming up. Bluddy NT it was 42°C here the other day. nearly 108°F

Late 30s most days. Ready to go home to Queensland now

It usually stays below 30°C most days unless there is a heat wave on.
