My Sony 300 died on my a month ago so now I need a new reader.

Now there are sooo many choices for me
I read a lot and while the wifi aspect appeals to me its not a huge factor for me. I like the the fact that the K-fire is colour. How hard is it to format non amazon e-books to the Amazon format? Does anyone know if they plan to offer the Kindle Fire to the Canadian market? I can always buy and ship to a friend in the U.S. but will the wifi be non functioning? Thanks in advance |

It's easy to format books, but you might need to strip off the drm At November, when it is released, amazon will probably ship outside us, but then, you've always got your friend. If are willing to pay more for the tablet and the different screen doesn't bother you, i'd say go for it! Hope it helps, DD |

they wont convert DRM content, since you already have a sony and likely many epub book's you would be best off getting another sony.

Don't hold your breath; the Kindle Fire is highly unlikely to be sold outside the United States for the foreseeable future. It's primarily a platform for consumption of Amazon's video services, which are not available outside the US.

I would not expect the Kindle Touch to be available before Christmas. I have no idea when the Kindle Fire will be available outside the US. |

Keep up the good work. I'd never know this otherwise. So I won't bother with 'Fire'. Ta! |
