Nah; I'm happy with my K3 and its keyboard. Maybe I'll upgrade for every other new generation of Kindles.

Definitely won't "upgrade" my device to one that has a smaller battery and a distracting aluminum body (can't ignore the cold) or requires touch. I have no idea why they don't have an offering that has as large a battery as K3 and doesn't have touch.

You know, I voted "I'll take a keyboard any day. Sticking with a K3." with full conviction, but now every time I see a pic of the K4 or the KT I can't help but think "How pretty!"

I might get a Touch for Christmas. No real reason why, as I love my K3 and I use my NC as a tablet, but I'm a gadget girl and the price is right

i wish i could get the kindle touch 3g. navigating with the directional pad is a bit of a hassle. i like the look of kindle touch, and i'd like to have the 3g feature which i now dont have on my kindle wifi.

does anyone know if the internet browser works with 3g on the new kindles?

Will stick with my K3 and iPad2. But once (if) my K3 bites the dust would want to get another eink ereader hopefully color eink by that time.

I will be picking up a new Sony PRS-T1 as soon as I can get my hands on one. I wouldn't mind picking up a kindle as a spare reader, but that won't be anytime soon. I would have liked a touchscreen DX, but I feel like the DX line will not likely be continued.

I am also sticking with my current e-readers...

I have loved my K2 for a long time and with the current issue with the new Kindle not being able to use web browsing with 3G I see no reason to switch over to one of the new ones.

I am taking a "wait and see" on the Kindle Fire. I have a rooted Nook Color and it really satisfies all of my needs for an inexpensive color e-reader. I am able to read all of my B&N and Amazon books on it. I am wondering how easy it will be to root the Fire and if it will be able to read all of my books. From what I am reading, all signs point to NO, so I think I will be sticking with my rooted Nook Color for the time being...

Is the back aluminum? It looks different, but I think it's still plastic.

I don't like the k3 back because it really picks up smudges. It looks kinda gross if I don't wipe it off.

But plastic logic is also eink. It doesn't have a glass substrate so you don't have to worry about a cracked screen, but the display is otherwise the same.

It takes a long time to get a new display out of the lab and into production, then into large volume that something like the kindle line requires. Where's mirasol, for example.
