@quisvir:
I've tested your single-tap feature. Nice idea! But I think, I will disable it again to prevent accidental page turns. Another idea: Would it be possible to use up and down gestures for page turning? Those would be a little bit more comfortable when holding the reader in one hand. PS: I found a little bug concerning the last opened books on the home screen. When I had opened a periodical it appears on the home screen as suspected. But I can not open it from the "last opened"-list on the home screen. |

Thanks for testing, MiK77. Gestures are on the (long-term) todo list, as they are quite a bit more difficult to code than simple taps.
The booklist not showing periodicals is intended behaviour, not a bug. The original Sony booklist filters out periodicals, and I saw no reason to change this. Maybe I'll change it to an option though; thanks for the suggestion! |

But the periodical is shown on the "last opened"-list. But I can't open it from there. If it weren't there, this would be ok for me. But it is shown and doesn't work.

Question:
Is there a SIMPLE possibility to remove the GAMES delivered with PRS+ in a custom build? I tried to delete supect folders. But ANT quits the buiding process with an error message (something about missing something...). Why am I wishing to remove games? An ereader for me is a stringent single purpose machine. I don't even want to have the possibility to start a game. That's an deliberate reduction of choices to concentrate on the content of books. Sorry for not appreciating your work on the supplemental applications ![]() Apart from that I very cherish your great software! A. Last edited by Analogus; 10-02-2011 at 09:08 AM. |

You always can change the main screen, substitute the button "More..." for other like "Folders", so, although games and so are there, you would have to make some changes to reach them.

I want to get rid of the games completely
![]() Not just removing the menu point. And: periodica, notes and folder browsing are to find under "more...". Which I evaluate as usefull. A. |

To remove a game, remove its <name>.js file from script\addons or script\addons1 and the corresponding subfolder (with the game's name) before building.

A question for everyone: would there be any interest in an author list addon (mostly for touch devices)?
Such an addon would first list all your authors (or at least those that meet a set minimum of books). Then, selecting an author would bring you to a list of all books by that author. From there, of course, you can open any of those books. Reason I ask is, I have coded a basic version of this already, but am unsure of whether to develop it further. Non-touch devices already have an author list built-in, but perhaps touch device users would find some use in having similar (though more rudimentary) functionality. I'm sure some people would like this. I use calibre to create my collections for my 950 and have added aba:%All by Author to my plugin which creates a collection that lists all books sorted by authors. I'm not sure how much different your idea is from this.

Thanks for the response, dwanthny.
The main difference is that it's a recursive listing, so the first list only shows available authors, and after selecting an author you get a book list with only the books by that particular author - instead of your entire book list, which can be quite long and disorderly (even if sorted). Setting a minimum number of books per author helps to keep the author list small. So if you set that option to 2 (for instance), the list only contains authors for which you have more than 1 book. But I can see that not many people would use this; hence the question of course. |
