I am not so sure about replacing my 1 month old Kindle 3G. The new one is touch, right, but everything else, especially screen size, is similar. Yeah, 1 oz less, but ...

Now, trying to think with my brain and not my emotions. Because My iPad 2 does everything I need, including reading Magazines and PDFs with GoodReader. The Kindle Fire is smaller, which is actually very convenient but reduces display's area as well.
