At its best in the 1966 edition, while the only widely available version is the 1975 edition, which chops an entire chapter.

Since I can't seem to get one on my own, I'd like to post a quote if y'all don't mind.

"It had once probably been a big mixing bowl, but she’d bent the bowl back in on itself until it was shaped almost exactly like a dog dish. I had to be impressed with her quick craftsmanship. And her attention to detail. She’d scratched the word Fido into the side. Excellent handwriting."

This quote will probably get me b*tch slapped (pun intended), because this book isn't exactly great literature (but I have to admit I enjoyed it).

I've read some of these (I think), but I don't think I've read this particular book. However, I think the character names give it away.

"Dismasted," said the left-hand face, with a smile like Nero enjoying a Christian's death agony. "With Dover cliffs under your lee. You are in serious trouble, Mr.—ah—[Name]".
