Had a quick look over the Amazon site, is the Kindle Touch not available in the UK? All I can see is the new one at £89 and the older wifi/3g versions?
Wonder why the special offers version isn't out in the UK either, not that I'd buy one, I'd rather pay a little more for the ad free version. |

These look cool, although I don't have an interest personally due to the lack of keyboard. $79 is a great deal to allow me to get my 8-year-old one for Christmas as soon as I can figure out a sturdy case option.

The Kindle with Special Offers requires advertisers to get on board, so Amazon probably wants to focus on one market to begin with. |

What do you guys think of the new non-touch version with no keyboard? Will it be difficult to navigate the online bookstore with no keyboard/no touch-screen using just the buttons? I was going to get the touch, but I'm going on holidays in October and would really like to bring a ereader with me

Not quite as awesome as they seem.

I decided to buy both of the KSO K4s. Once the touchscreen version comes in I'll decide if I like it enough to get away from my buttons, I just hope that with the touch version it will still be easy to turn pages while only holding with one hand.
Went with one day shipping so hopefully tomorrow afternoon I will have my K4. |

Amazon has still messed up the pricing. The KSO should cost more, not less. Those special offers are just like Amazon handing you money. My Kindle 3 has paid for itself about 3 times over in the last 2 months.

The Kindle Touch without "special offers" is about the same price as the Nook Simple Touch Reader. What is cheaper is the Kindle without touch screen or keyboard (wonder how that works?), for which B&N has no equivalent.
