. . . . and I bought an easel and paints two years ago and they're still sitting where I left them and the sketching program I bought for the iPad is full of stuff for work.
Does anyone know some artist's forums that might revive a bit of my old artistic spirit because 28 years of doing it commercially for VERY uninspiring subject matter has left me pretty spent but wish - I wasn't.
You should hook up with KennyC—I'll bet he'd have a couple of usable suggestions for you. Tell him I sent ya'.

Toyota Prius!

What is the matter with Prius drivers!!!!

Last week I put on about 1,000 miles driving to different work sites. That was the good part. I was able to enjoy the scenery and listen to audiobooks.

But over and over I keep seeing Prius drivers doing 70 - 80 mph. Do they have an inferiority complex? Do they drive fast just to show the world that a Prius can do it?

I don't see the same thing with other hybrid/electric cars. So, just what is the matter with Toyota Prius drivers?

Strange. I haven't seen that here. Of course, (1) we don't have that many Priuses here; and (2) everybody around here drives 70-80 mph.

(There are actually a couple of Priuses in the neighborhood, and I'm always afraid when I walk in the early morning that one of them is going to sneak up on me in stealth mode and run me over!)

You're right. One nearly got me. It makes no sound. I wonder how many people have been run over bybthem because they are silent?

They should deliberately incorporate some noise into those cars. Most of us have probably seen those "Deaf Child" signs posted in neighborhoods where deaf children live as a warning to motorists to be extra careful. All children are deaf children in neighbors where Priuses roam.

I'm going to The Hague with my sister on Friday and had planned to visit the Lush store to stock up. This morning Lush Holland tweets that the The Hague store is closed until the 7th for redecoration. I'm now going to order online from the UK which is cheaper even with the higher shipping costs. But I love shopping at Lush stores and I still hope they'll open a store in my city.

If they are those smelly soap stores. They give me a headache being in them for more than a few minutes.

Interestingly in a Lush store I haven't got any problem. But I can't stay in a perfume store for more than a few minutes before I get nauseated.

What I really hate about most soap/beauty/perfume stores is pushy staff. My local Body Shop is one of the worse. Almost before you set one foot in the store they already ask you if you need help. When you tell them you're just looking they keep hovering around you. Last week I had to buy some facial cream and they had a "buy 2 get 20% discount" offer, but I only needed the cream. When paying the girl first told me of the offer 3 times, after I made it clear I wasn't interested she asked me if I already had their discount card. I told her I hadn't and wasn't interested but she went into a sales pitch anyway. I saw that they finally opened a Dutch webstore so I'll be buying online from now on.

At Lush stores they might ask you if you need any help but if you tell them you're just looking they leave you alone after telling you that if you need any help you can just ask.

I don't know about that. I definitely know I can get audio books and other utilities for the blind. I ain't so sure Saint Peter is going to greet me at the pearly gates.
